Film:Quantum of Solace
Director:Marc Foster
Cast:Daniel Craig,Mathieu Amalric,Olga Kurylenko
In Daniel Craig's first outing as the Blonde,Younger Bond in Casino Royale two years ago,the producers of the world's longest running movie franchise has announced that the new generation Bond will be suited to the tastes of the newer audiences.None of the old world charm, oozing suave, tastelessly wonderful innuendos, sexiest names(there have been a few over the years from Honey Ryder in DR.No to Octopussy in Octopussy to Onatopp in GoldenEye.Craig's Bond is yet to find inner space in Quantum of Solace, easily the most ridiculous title for a Bond movie in decades and one that utterly lacks a punch. What the title lacks, the sequence before the opening credits and the ones that follow make up with aplomb.
The movie begins with Bond capturing the, mysterious Mr.White to find out who blackmailed Vesper Lynd to betray him of his casino money. But what Bond does not know is that the organisation-later revealed as the complex well-net-worked 'Quantum'-has people everywhere including within the M16.As an Interrogation with Mr White goes utterly wrong,Bond begins a manhunt that takes him from Italy to haiti to the heart of south America, where an environment--conscious business philanthropist Dominic Greene is devising a plan to take over a piece of land in Bolivia in exchange for helping a power-crazy rapist General Medrano.why the interest in the Land? Now for that you have to watch the movie but I assure you it was utterly silly as most Bond movie plots are.
In unravelling the mystery organisation,Bond goes rogue when the body count around him is deemed unacceptable by Dame M and the british government. He is without his credit card, unlimited miles to fly card and what not.But wait a minute .He is "Bond,James Bind" even if never introduces himself like that once in the movie. So there is always a car left in the open by some idiot with the keys maybe even with the ignition on,or an aircraft in a field jsut for him.He also has on tow the beautiful camille, who much like Bond has her own vendetta to settle with Medrano. In the mix,Bond loses some more loved ones, before settling his score. In the end,the audience walks out assured there are more Quantum Vs Bond encounters coming

Quantum of Solace is entertaining at least... a lot of high quality visuals, but the movie as a whole could stand to lose six or seven fewer chase scenes
